At 40 miles long, Cayuga is the longest of the Finger Lakes. In 1988, the region's wineries were the first in the state to organize - resulting in the Cayuga Wine Trail. Known for the popular Cayuga varietal, developed locally at Cornell University, the marquee wines of the region are its excellent Rielsings and Cabernet Franc.
