A bright ruby semi-sweet black current apple wine with refreshing tones of earthy black currants and spiced apple. On the palate, this wine exhibits a sweet, medium body with purity and depth of flavor. This fruit wine finishes with mouthwatering acidity and a touch of spicy cranberry sauce.
Banned in the early 1900’s black currants were thought to have contributed to the spread of a fungus threatening the timber industry. In 2003 the ban was lifted in New York allowing farmers to grow this beneficial fruit, high in antioxidants and vitamin C.
