Frederic Leydet’s goal is to achieve the total expression of the terroir, which he successfully accomplishes by practicing traditional wine making methods such as ageing his wines on the lees in oak barrels. The result is a return to traditional, old style Bordeaux, an approach that is less common these days.
This wine is well-balanced with savory smoked tobacco, dark plum, fig and blackcurrant notes. Toasted oak flavors linger on the finish.
