2017 Bellangelo, Seyval Blanc, Seneca Lake $12.99
The Villa Bellangelo Seyval Blanc hails from an exceedingly distinguished vineyard site. On the nose there are notes of green apple, citrus melange, and fresh cut grass. The palate shows hints of peach and tart apple.
2015 Damiani Wine Cellars, Semi-Dry Riesling, Seneca Lake $14.99
Possessing a remarkably lush and dense nose, this Semi-Dry Riesling presents notes of bright wildflower honey accompanied by hints of lavender. The tropical, yet flinty, nature of this wine demonstrates the terroir of the Finger Lakes and the unique flavor profiles of Damiani aromatic whites.
2016 Wagner Vineyards, Dry Riesling, Seneca Lake $12.99
Clear silvery emerald straw color. Aromas of honeydew melon, mango preserve, pear skin, white tea, wet straw, and flint with a soft, tangy, bone-dry light-to-medium body and a smooth, medium-length lime flesh, underripe pineapple, pickled white strawberry, lemon balm, coriander, and wool finish. A racy and layered Riesling from the Finger Lakes ready for a bolder food pairing.
2016 Bread & Butter, Chardonnay, Napa Valley $14.99
This Chardonnay opens delicately with rich notes of vanilla bean and almond husk, which is reminiscent of a decadent crème brûlée. The creamy custard notes are balanced by a soft minerality and a hint of tropical fruit. Those creamy notes continue to your palate where they are joined with a light woodiness from the oak. Just like that first bite of brûlée, this wine lingers into a long, creamy finish.
2016 Heron Hill, Cabernet Franc, Keuka Lake $16.99
Aromas of clove and toasted wood are met with jammy cherry undertones. Hints of crushed currants and eucalyptus aromas are present in the background. The burgeoning tannins are shy at first, then come through to allow the wine to nicely linger on the palate.
2015 Chateau Bel-Air Laclotte, Bordeaux $9.99
Splashy red berry fruit and black cassis nose followed by spiced black cherry fruit. Dry, nicely balanced palate with a pleasant lingering spice.
2016 The Fableist, Tempranillo, Central Coast $21.99
Loaded with blueberries, black currant, and dark chocolate. The wine has a velvety mouth feel with a lingering finish that is warm and fulfilling.
Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Red Cat Dark, Seneca Lake $7.99
This sweet, full-bodied nectar is made from Finger Lakes Concord grapes and will make your taste buds dance. Intense deep purple color with flavors of jam and brown sugar spice, this juicy refresher has a soft viscous mouth-feel and a lingering finish. Best served cold. Use as the base for a wine punch or try over ice with club soda as a spritzer!
