In 1984 after a visit to California wine country, Peter Saltonstall decided the family farm back in upstate NY might be suitable for growing high quality vinifera vines. Thus, started the Saltonstall passion for wine-making. Randolph O’Neill Vineyard is the husband and wife team of Angela (née Randolph) and Kelley O’Neill. It grew from their mutual love for great wine and a gorgeous land. Kelley and Angela intend for ROV to remain small, producing hundreds of cases rather than thousands. This means they can always guarantee a high level of attention to detail and devotion to quality.

Sheldrake Point Winery was founded in 1997 by a small group of wine enthusiasts led by Greg Sandor, who organized the purchase of the former 155-acre lakeshore farm that is now the vineyard.
