Dark ruby/garnet in flavor, this wine has pungent aromas of jammy port-like fruit, mint, chocolate, and hints of tar. Full bodied, with a good deal of rustic grippy tannin. Big rustic flavors of red and black fruit, fig, mint, chocolate, and woodsy notes certainly have substance, if not finesse. The finish is tannic and rustic, with good length. Chocolate, port-like fruit, and peppery notes linger.
